“What is a mind, if not something to be messed with? What is consciousness, if not a state to be altered?” If it helps to substitute for the phrase “messed with” the word “clarified” or “purified” or “alchemised” or “beautified” or “beatified” then perhaps my meaning is taken. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, and there is much being wasted when one deliberately chooses not to explore the ecstasy of its deeper horizons.
